Morabeza in Sal, Cape Verde Islands
The Morabeza, a local word for hospitality, is the longest established hotel on Sal.
Its popularity is largely due to its fantastic location right next to the sandy beach and the personal service that guests receive.
Originally the home of a Belgian family, the Morabeza is still owned by the same family and has developed into a very attractive and much sought after hotel, now run by Sophie Marcellesi, the granddaughter of the original owners.
The grounds are large with tropical flowers lining pathways leading down to ‘Le Beach Club’, which is the perfect spot for lunch as well as taking advantage of the superb watersports facilities. There are numerous activities to choose from; however there is no music by the pool to disturb the tranquillity of this hotel.

General Information
The hotel offers its clients numerous facilities, with more than 140 comfortable and well equipped rooms. All have terrace and most have direct access to the beach. It is recommended for those who wish to get away from the stress of daily life. Among the services offered are: a beach restaurant with solarium and bar, a night time restaurant with a magnificent esplanade, a swimming pool, 3 bars and a disco, much appreciated by the night owls.
This charming hotel is located on a marvellous 3 km deserted white sand beach which forms the magnificent bay of Santa Maria. This village is a tree lined and full of flowers where tourists can enjoy peacefulness.
