Quinta da Montanha in Santiago, Cape Verde Islands
The Hotel Quinta da Montanha in Santiago is a spectacular, family-run rural retreat.
The hotel is perched at 850 metres in the Rui Vaz Mountains with breathtaking views of the surrounding valleys, Mount São Domingos (1394m) and of the distant island of Maio. It is a designated part of a working farm, 24km and about 45 minutes by road from Praia.
There are a total of 10 comfortable rooms equipped with satellite TV. The communal veranda leads onto the roof top restaurant. Beautiful views are everywhere to get. The terrace restaurant overlooks the ecological garden and agricultural fields that the owner cultivates. Enjoy delicious homemade cooking and traditional dishes on open fire. Another highlight is the bar where you can do some stargazing in the clear night sky with telescopes on offer.

General Information
Relax amongst new-found friends and locals whilst engaging with other planets through the Quinta’s powerful telescope. Car hire is recommended but not essential for those who wish to use the Quinta as a base for trekking and local exploration on foot. Transport can be arranged locally at a charge.
